Childbirth is undeniably one of the most transformational moments in a woman’s life, a profound journey defined by both challenges and triumphs. A woman must dive deep within herself, discovering a reservoir of strength and power that she may not have even realized she possessed prior to this incredible experience. When I photograph the birth of a child, I strive to capture not only all of the most important moments, but also every precious moment that occurs in between. I immortalize the first time you hold your baby in your arms, the overwhelming emotions that accompany that first cry, and the way your partner looks at you, filled with awe, after bringing their precious newborn Earthside. I also capture the enchanting moment when your baby first gazes up at your face, taking in the image of the one who will nurture them, as well as the details of the weather on that significant day. And let’s not forget the heartwarming moment when your baby meets their siblings for the very first time. There is so much more to cherish and remember!
